Who We Are
Since 1990, the Kids’ Helpline at Crisis Services has been making a difference in the lives of Western New York youth. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week we have been here to answer the phone with a smile and a "How can I help you today?" Young people call the Kids’ Helpline for many reasons; some are lonely, some are afraid, some don’t have anyone else to turn to. We are honored to provide this service to children and adolescents throughout the Western New York area and are continually surprised by the resiliency of the clients we serve. But we cannot do this work alone.
It has been the continued support of the local community that has made the Kids’ Helpline what it is today. Our volunteers have provided immeasurable amounts of both time and support and our donors provide us with the resources we need to continue to be there for the next generation. The Kids’ Helpline is newly expanded thanks to a generous donation from the John R. Oshiei Foundation. We are able to bring our skills and services to kids via the advances of the Internet and technology because of their support.
Mission Statement:

It is a unique, private non-profit mental health and human service agency dedicated to promoting the health, safety and well being of the community through prevention, education, immediate intervention and access to community wide resources 24-hours-a-day.
