Program Description

At Copper Canyon Academy, students and staff work together as a team to create a community of warmth, respect, mutual cooperation, friendship, leadership, and love. Each student learns to confront the past and look forward to the future by following a proven trail to success. Students work to become the best they can be emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially.

Copper Canyon Academy High School and Middle School Programs serves young women 14-17 years of age who exhibit one or more of the following: Poor Choice of Friends, Drug and Alcohol Use, Depressed, Angry, Low Self-Esteem, Peer Conflict, Poor Impulse Control, Lying, Cheating,
Family Discord, Does Not Respect Rules, Sneaking out/Running Away, Anxiety, Poor Communication Skills, Lack of Boundaries, Manipulative, Self-Centered, Feeling Abandoned, High Risk Behavior, Poor Body/Self Image, Lack of Organization, and/or Underachieving.

Copper Canyon Academy is a comprehensive therapeutic boarding school with all aspects of the program designed to enhance self-esteem, self-awareness, self-reliance, self-confidence and self-management. CCA provides a fully accredited, college-preparatory, academic classes led by credentialed (masters and bachelors level) teachers, CCA provides all of the core classes required for High School graduation with an extensive selection of extra curricular classes including art, drama, dance, choir, PE. CCA utilizes an extremely diversified therapeutic program which includes individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, student seminars, parent seminars, family workshops, equine therapy and canine therapy. CCA offers a challenging physical fitness program, and a structured living environment. Committed to success CCA students also participate in a number of additional programs such as competitive sports-basketball, softball, soccer and volleyball, hiking, equestrian riding, and extensive community service programs.
